Acura Integra is the same Honda Integra, only on sale in the USA. In a base complete set model Acura Integra LS of 1998 is equipped by an adjustable steering tube, the electric drive of window regulators and installations of lateral vanity mirrors, the air conditioner, an audiosystem with a player of CD of disks, etc. the Engine - 1,8 l., a gear box - automatic, a drive gear - front, the air conditioner, the steering booster, the central lock, cruise - the control, two pillows of safety, ABS. Possible options: navigating system, leather interior, electrosteering of front seats, the hatch, a manual gear box.
Models Acura Integra of 2000 were on sale with bodies a sedan (Acura Integra Sports Sedan) and a coupe (Acura Integra Sports Coupe). Sports executions Acura Integra GS and Acura Integra GS-R have special seats of the driver and the passenger and some other specific equipment.
Models Acura Integra LS and Acura Integra GS are equipped with the power units including forced 4-cylinder 16-valve 1,8-litre motors by capacity of 142 and 172 h.p. with a mechanical 5-step or automatic hydromechanical 4-step gear box. Complete set GS-R Sports Coupe has the same motor with the firm system VTEC changing phases of a gas distribution and lifting of valves. It allows to increase an engine power to 172 h.p. at 7600 rpm. It however works only with mechanical transmission.
Coupe Integra Type-R which premiere has taken place in the end of 1997, is equipped by more forced variant of this motor (197 h.p.). Despite so high target parametres, it is specified, that engines Acura Integra "do not demand resettings in a current of first 160 thousand in km of run". Preventive replacement of filters and engine oil is carried out only. The new "old" model differs more powerful brakes and more a rigid suspension though all Integra and without that have strongly pronounced sports character thanks to an independent suspension of all wheels with antiroll bars. Standard equipment engages the automatic air conditioner, an adjustable steering tube, a stereosystem, the electric drive of window regulators, "cruise-control", etc.
The new sports coupe 2002 Acura RSX will replace Integra in modelling number Acura because in every respect considerably surpasses the predecessor.
Hatchback Acura RSX is equipped by the 2-litre 4-cylinder engine which has double overhead camshafts and variable system of a valve timing, for capacity achievement in 160 horsepowers at the maximum turning moment of 6,500 turns in a minute.
Also Acura RSX 2002 it will be delivered on the market with the new program of engine management of system i-VTEC, allowing to develop capacity in 200 horsepowers at 7,400 turns in a minute.
In addition to everything, Acura RSX has three variants of a gear box: a mechanical five-step gear box, automatic five high-speed with gear SportShift (an individual choice of a reduction ratio) and the mechanical six-step.
The chassis car is completely updated, including the changed project of racks MacPherson and an independent suspension. New models will be equipped with the strengthened springs and absorbers.
Standard complete set RSX engages the air conditioner, window regulators, the central locks and vanity mirrors with heating up, system "keyless" and stereo-system with the CD player.
